Foster children sue CPS and win $7.3 million

In Washington state three foster children sued CPS and won 7.3 million dollars. Apparently the three girls were placed with a man who had a criminal history. For ten years they tried to tell CPS social workers that they were being abused physically, sexually, mentally, emotionally ... everything! But the social workers ignored their pleas from 1996 to 2006. Finally in 2006 the fosterer (I can't call him a foster "parent") ... "foster abuser" would be a better term... well, finally in 2006 he was prosecuted for sexual abuse and possession of child porn.

My question is why aren't the CPS social workers who participated in the cover-up of his abuse not being prosecuted? These negligent government workers should all be thrown in jail for their part in the abuse of these children. Every one of them should be found, even if they are no longer being employed by this agency, and rounded up and taken to criminal court for a child abuse and neglect trial. Until the child welfare system starts being honest enough to give these neglectful people up to the criminal justice system, we will not have true justice for children in this world.

Criminal Injustice to Children here, too.

On this side of the world, in the past few days, a 6 year old boy was overdosed with Methadone by his mother - 'to ease his coughing'. (A drug addict herself, needless to say)
This tiny victim died on the way to hospital.
Neighbours had reported this woman many times to the South Australian Housing Trust who owned the house the woman rented - for neglect of the child - and of the property.
Police had been to the house on numerous occasions following complaints.
The house was also shared by 4 cats and 2 dogs and there were faeces everywhere...amongst the ankle-deep refuse and junk and broken items and punched and kicked in doors and walls.
What was everyone in authority thinking? What did they actually DO?
The answer is obvious - absolutely nothing of consequence.
And so, as a direct result of all this 'standing about, wringing hands' (or whatever is it the authorities actually DO??), we have the death of this child, helpless to change his destiny - just like the three girls you talk about, Linda. How can such misery exist from one side of our beautiful world to the other?
How can a heart ache so badly? And feel so intolerably heavy? It's only a muscle, surely?

PS: Came back to amend the little boy's age - he was ONLY 5!!!
