Good to be at Senior Squids

Hi!  I'm Mary Beth and looking forward to this new Senior Squid site.
I took an early retirement 4 years ago and have been thoroughly enjoying my online life.  Squidoo has really been a great place to meet people and to hone my writing skills.  I am basically a visual person, using photography as my main means of communicating so I've had to learn to expand my writing skills and that is a good thing.
 
I live in St. Peters, Missouri a suburb of St. Louis.  I was born in St. Louis in 1949 and have lived in the area most of my life, except for about 10 years when my career took me to Columbia, Missouri and Kansas City, Missouri.  During my career I traveled extensively to small towns in Missouri, Illinois, Nebraska and Kansas, so I got to see much of the countryside in the midwest.  
 
I have been married to my best friend, Ray, for 42 years and we enjoy traveling together.  We have been fortunate to be able to travel to 28 countries and 46 of the 50 states.  Ray is now more limited in his ability to get around, but we still find ways to take road trips.  We just got back from Indiana...traveling the backroads for two days photographing covered bridges.  A lens will be coming soon :)
 
Ray and I have two children.  Linda and her husband Dave live in Atlanta and John and his wife Larisa live in Kansas City.  We also have three wonderful granddaughters, Rachel and Ella in Atlanta and Kate in Kansas City.
 
I enjoy designing my photographs for Zazzle and CafePress products along with marketing them on Squidoo.
I'm  looking forward to more good times with the Senior Squids.
